My allotment is in the corner of the site and on two sides I have established oak trees. At the moment I have a pair of great spotted woodpeckers, a wren, the customary robin, dunnocks, goldfinches, chaffinches, coal tits, treecreepers, various tits, thrushes, and I saw my first ? it looks like a large thrush and comes before cold weather ??knew I should have written it down lol. I also have a family of slow worms, stag beetles and lots of others things that have made me buy a book so i know what they are lol. Never thought of myself as a closet twitcher but......

Mistle Thrush or FieldFare.  I think the Fieldfares will have returned to the Continent though.  I am sure I will be corrected.  The Mistle Thrush is also known as the 'Storm thingy'.
