I am so pleased that you will be getting 12 ex -battery hens... I think its marvellous and it will be fantastic for those hens!! I wish I could keep hens but I live in a park home and the park rules will not allow me to keep chickens. We are allowed cats and dog with permission but that is it... It does sadden me because I have always wanted to keep chickens, eversince I was a little girl. My late uncle used to keep chickens and I used to love to be allowed to collect the eggs.... and I have been in love with chickens eversince.... I cannot bear the lives these battery hens have to endure.... my uncles hens were free range and they always seemed so happy and the eggs were delicious. The only thing I can do to help the battery hens is support causes like this....
