First greenfly attack of the year ??
« on: March 16, 2007, 17:20:41 »
on my potato 'chits' !!!! I couldn't beleive my eyes  :o  I did start the chitting really early (late december  ::) I was v excited ......  :-[) and on closer inspection some of the sprouts have tiny purple leaves (maybe the room is too warm??).  I washed off the spuds in soapy water, gave them a good rinse and they are now drying off on a bath towel in front of a radiator.  Will they survive ??  Should I plant the ones with the tiny leaves or should I  throw the whole lot out and start again ?  ???  Don't think I'll buy them so early next year ........... And where did the green nasties come from at this time of year ??

I've got some on the strawberry plants in my greenhouse.

I put a fly paper up and I've already caught a few other flies.

My overwintered strawberries in my cold greenhouse are covered too! :(

I've washed them off twice, little beggars...... >:(
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴
