Do read the Cornwell triology...I can assure you its NOT like a celluloid version of the legend...far from it... I think the expression is its 'more earthy'

This thread has set me off  ..I will have to dig the books out again and indulge myself

I will; I've read most of his other books. I haven't seen them all in the local public library together so I may have to buy them.
