Fungicide
« on: September 15, 2005, 13:18:53 »
Does anyone ever treat their seeds with fungicide dust before sowing?  If so what do you use?

Does this treatment stop these plants from being 'organically' grown if no other chemical or treatment is used throughout the process?

Thanks for any replies

No Wardy.  I've been reading a garden book by Yates who say to do that.  They have a comparison photo which does show a significant difference.

I thought that would render them inorganic.  But most of the seeds I have seen at the nursuries are not labelled as organic.  I have only seen 3 packets that are organic.

I'm just reading up about raising seedlings.  I wonder if it is the most difficult part of the whole gardening business (especially if you don't have a green house and temperature control) apart from pest control for established plants later ;D ;D
