When is the best time to cut back a passiflora?  I need to change the trellis on ours.

Not really now, but if you have to, then untangle as many long lengths as you can and gently lay them over, remove old trellis replace with new and retie the lengths back in across the rellis as low as possible and the new growth will sprout up without leaving a bare batch at the bottom.
