Lovely 70th. birthday present from eldest. He edited and has had printed the stories I wrote many years ago when he was a lot younger.
The books are now on sale on Amazon and astonishingly we have sold some too.
Chuffed does not begin to describe the feeling!

Yes you are (if it is boasting) Well done and what a super present from your eldest. I've read one of your lovely stories you shared with me some time ago, but I'd love to see how one looks in print. Perhaps you could give us a title...

Have asked Dan if it is ok to post a link, waiting for a reply. Don't want to cause any problems.

Well done.

Just looked at the definition of boasting.
Boasting is to speak with excessive pride and self-satisfaction about one's achievements, possessions, or abilities

Nothing excessive about your pride.  You have done well.  What a lovely present.

It is not normally allowed to put a link to something you are selling, but perhaps you could PM someone and they might just happen to recommend having a look.

Or maybe a clue to the title and then we can have a google.

Palustris

Fair enough. No links, but the books are called 'The Flight to The Betty' and 'The Ashton Road Gang'
And as far as selling concerned, we have priced them without any royalties so the cost is that of printing and nothing else.

They look lovely books at a very reasonable price, I might pop them in my basket!
Very pleased for you Eric

Borlotti

Clever you, will certainly have a look.  I love books and reading.

What no kindle edition?

Then you get to keep most the money (apart from the VAT) and save the trees.

Palustris

Bit of a problem in that those the books were intended for, so not have Kindle machines so they would not be able to read the rubbish. Me included.

Kindle app? or just get the software and load on to  your pc. How can anybody live without a kindle ;)

Palustris

Very easily. I don't have one as none of the books I want to read are available.

Im so pleased for you! Im late replying, no change there...
I hope you write many more and many more kids enjoy your books
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

Believe it or not there are about 4 more books in the pipeline. Just need sorting out, editing and finding illustrations for them.
Going to cost us a fortune to buy a copy of each for all the grandchildren, nephews and nieces etc.

I have a kindle app on my phone.  Do most of my reading on the phone now.  You can get the print much bigger and carry loads of books around in your pocket.

Lots of children and mouldy oldies have phones and tablets etc now.  You can beam the books around the world.  I would certainly consider publishing with kindle as well.  And it saves trees.

Just bought an actual kindle, mostly because on holiday the phone has a problem in bright sunlight.
