Did you ever wonder where the money went in laying a new lawn??
Shame there's not a before photo.

1. Two doers. Drive 20 miles with 2 trucks. Each day for several days.
2. Take off old turf with a machine that needs pushing to help the motor!
3. Great - we got the turf!
4. Rotovate. Clear debris.
5. Scuff.
6. Level with a 'spiralling' machine.
7. Roll & scuff again.
8. Lay turf  - origin, Sthingyhorpe.
9. Roll.
10. Fill in any gaps with topsoil.

PS Forgot to mention the pruning back or grubbing out of trees & shrubs.

Moral - if you've got something of a lawn, TLC!!

PS This is 'next door' - not me! Today's photos.
