This is one of my B&Q 10p rejects, it really was a naff little thing when I bought it, small with the tip of the plant blackened where it had been touched by cold/frost. I bought two although I didn't really think they were going to make it, but felt a bit sorry for them. On the plus they were 10p each and I could see a glimmer of green behind the blackened growing point. When I popped them in the propagator they amazingly sprang into life. They were labeled Jalapeno, but the fruits have grown much too long and there is no corking on the skin, perhaps a Cayenne type.

First picture (taken the first week of April) is one looking more promising than when I first bought it and the second picture a few days ago. Well chuffed they have done so well.

10p well spent. Now that was a bargain.

Maybe Hungarian hot wax? I got one from my local B&Q.  From memory they also had habanero, jalapeno and apache

Hmm, I had another look at the fruits yesterday, I don't think any of those fits? Too much a deep green for Hungarian Hot Wax and they are no Habanero, Jalapeno or Apache. The fruits are quite big up to 8" long and about 1" in diameter at the stalk end.
