That could be an interesting angle for Kitchen Garden to go for Grin
I won't cheat as I have only just put my spuds out for chitting today. Cry
I just puts some pics of them on my blog.
As long as I don't have to eat all the spuds myself then I will be ok.
I think the growers in the south will have a big advantage.

I bought my spuds from you Tattieman as I did last year too, so hoping for another good crop.  Will try 3 in a polypot for the spud challenge. Brought a bag of compost inside to warm up and may have to use bubblewrap to keep polypot warm. Weather still very chilly here in sunny manchester!

They're second earlies. It's first earlies you want for early planting. Mind you you could give Kestrel a go experimentally!

Sorry, guys - won't be planting this weekend. It's falling down with rain here, and the five day forecast on the BBC says the same for the rest of the week!

Try again next weekend.

Getting your spuds chitted in a warm room just now will be of more benefit than planting outside when it is cold.
Stopp you have the right idea about using the polypots Wink

Hi all,

This seems like a fun place so I've joined.

I've got Rocket which are chitting, but the garden is frozen silly, so depending on the container size I'll aim to get 3 or 6 in for a bit of fun.
