fig shoots

Dear ALL!
I bought i fig tree/plant (brown turkey) of E-bay!!

i re-potted and now its getting a few shoots from beneath the soil. ( as well as leaf growth on the top).  Take them out to increase productivity?, leave them? would they make good cuttings?
