This has always puzzled me.
When you are digging, particularly on *solid ground*. Why do earthworms remain on the surface and often bake to death, rather than dive, dive, dive below the surface again?  Shocked
Are they all Kamikaze worms on my patch or what?  Huh  Huh  Huh
