HP, it doesn't matter that we can't grow chocolate! (believe me if we could we would Grin ) Hope this helps! I would use just good old dark Chocolate with a high percentage of cocoa solids rather than faff around trying to find the two different types over here!

Dark Chocolate Sauce

4 fl oz Double or whipping cream
2 fl oz Golden syrup
2 oz unsalted butter
8 ounces bittersweet (not unsweetened) or semisweet chocolate, chopped
1/2 ounce unsweetened chocolate, chopped
3 tablespoons water

Combine first 3 ingredients in heavy medium saucepan. Stir over medium heat until butter melts. Add both chocolates and whisk until smooth. Mix in 3 tablespoons water. Remove from heat; cool slightly. sauce can be made 1 week ahead. Cover and refrigerate sauce. Before serving, stir sauce over low heat just until warm.)

This would be lovely over Profiteroles!! And you can add a slug of brandy or rum in place of the water if you want Wink

As the "official" requester of this recipe section I hearby declare that all recipes are legal - whether allotment related or otherwise. There - that's clear now  Grin

Wink.....it's actually been posted on my "other group" and they're lapping it up  Tongue literally by the sound of things.....so thanks again D.P. Wink

Another nice one is
1/2 pint double cream
4oz dark chocolate
1oz butter
Splash of dooleys

Put cream, chocolate and butter in saucepan. Gently heat stirring constantly. When all melted together stir in Dooleys. This is the ultimate chocolate sauce

I feel sooo guilty at not coming back and telling you D.P. how my friend got on....well she made your recipe before Christmas - to try it out on the family later in the day :-*but....when she tried it....she liked it so much  Tongue that she ate the lot!! Shocked.....but she made it again on Christmas Day and it was enjoyed by all  Wink....I will now give her the one you've posted Miss Baritone....sounds 'yummy' too  Roll Eyes H.P.

I'd make it myself..... but definitely need to lose a few pounds or more even! Huh now Christmas is over....so just daren't...cos I'd also eat the lot!.....no-one here to share it with  Cry Sad

Glad it was good HP! I am still wading my way single handedly (cos I have hidden them from the family, to save them from themselves!) through Christmas choccies and biccies we were given! Have all of a sudden had a penchant for simple foodstuffs! Always happens in January Grin Hubby suggested a bar be que this week.what a good idea!! So no Chocolate sauce for me for months!!! Grin  DP
