Mind you, ive got exactly the same solar lights from Wilkies, so i take it they are an necessary must, for the scientific method you have?  Tongue  Grin

Dont let him fool you Honeybee. It is a well known fact to all pumpkin growers, that the type of solar light GP has creates a magnetic field of positive pumpkin ions , which enter the skin and make the flesh expand at a rapid rate. This is the reason that he only has 2, as any more and the skin couldnt cope and would explode. Wink

Would it not be possible just to pick the pumpkin as soon as the immature fruit forms behind the flower? I have no idea, as I have never grown pumpkin before, only squash. At what stage do the pumpkins turn orange?

Sorry for the daft questions, but I really have no idea whan it comes to pumpkins Huh
