Hiya, I have two 30L compost bins, similar to the ones shown on this link:

http://getcomposting.com/cambs/index2.htm

Obviously  they are too big to post, but if anyone local is interested, please PM me to arrange price or swap for anything to do with poultry keeping, esp. netting, posts, feed etc.

Will make donation to A4A whether swap or money paid Cool

    Hold Hard!!!!
Blackwall. I have been waiting since April for a 'Darlek' & a Waterbutt.
They took the charge from my account on the date of the order.
    Still waiting delivery!
Trying to phone them is a complete waste of time - you're in a queue at your cost on an 0845 line.
I'll get the baskets & report back!!

my first 220 one came within a fortnight, now put another order in for 2 x 330 ones a couple of days ago.

i think from reading elsewhere Blackwall were having real trouble with delivery on their water butts and that was rippling down the line to other products.

i'm not particularly worried about when mine come as i've not real room for the 4th bin, it was more a buy now while cheap and take it up the lottie next year bin !

can you enquire on-line johcharly ?

I waited over 10 weeks for mine -and 3 hours of phone calls! - they then delivered two orders, I told them, and they told me to sell them or give them away as they did not want them back! So I've now got 4 water butts and 4 compost bins! (Until Supersprout swaps for some mesh and fleece)

i got mne through this site

    http://www.recyclenow.com/home_composting/index.html

first time in a long time anyone in cahoots with glasgow district council has come up trumps !

maybe it's still all to do with the drought.  cos we've not got a hosepipe up there, they're probably not shifting water butts!!!

i must admit i'm more than a little surprised.

If any one lives in a council area where wheelie bins are used for garbage try contacting them for any surplus/broken bins to be recylced as compost bins.

Hampshire council simply cut the bottoms off and drop them at your home (I have 6 on my allotment and they are great for storing things as well as composting)

ps. this is not advertised by the council but they are happy to oblige - its good to get somethuing back from your hard earned rates money!

I ordered my 2 bins 3 weeks ago and still haven't had them, I phoned them and they wanted to take the details of my credit card again. I told them where to get off. I then phoned the council co sit was them that had posted the leaflet and they said they would get the firm to phone me. Up to yet they haven't. They want us to help the environment and then they cannot cope with the demand. Same old story with everything these days. I will let you know when I get mine if ever I do. Till then I will keep filling the pallets up

That is what has put me off wanting to order these, the fact that there seems to be a consistent time delay in getting hold of them, and to be honest, I just don't want that sort of hassle, since my gardening is supposed to be de-stressing ...  Smiley

Guess what? after waiting 10 weeks for original delivery, then 2 deliveries in two days - 6 weeks later (Yesterday) they delivered some of the items again! Only the Bokashi Bran for composting, but I could not believe it, after having spoken to the company, they told me that I would need to take the parcel to the post office and return it - as you can imagine, I asked them very politely to come collect it themselves.............how many more "computer errors" can one company make, I have to say that I will not be using this company again, although good product, they have been very unreliable and incredibly difficult to contact!
