We had a few inches of snow here in West Oxfordshire around 6-7pm.

Around ten o'clock last night the snow was thawing beautifully....
this morning the locks have froze on my van...had the devil of a job getting them open to put my gear in.

OK ...I have had enough of winter now...lets get on with spring

only another 4 months to go before spring starts. Sowing onions in January so that is a start for next years growing season.

It was freezing all the way from Saltburn to york when I drove into work this morning. The nursery car park was like an ice rink. No snow though.

Cold in Essex, but the sun is out, no frost, no snow!  Got the allotment and it looks fab, not a weed in sight!  Dug up 4 huge parsnips, bunch of carrots, pulled 2 celerys which are holding well, 6 leeks, bag of spinach, bag of white swiss chard and a bowl of sprouts.  Perfect!

When the going gets tough, hide in the allotment.

Still no snow hear in South Leeds.  Just a beautiful, cold, crisp sunny day, with just a hint of whispy clouds.  I hear it's 17 deg in Penzance.

Frozen hard, treacherous conditions, not at all pleasant ...
