killing ivy

Can anyone recommend the best product to kill ivy please. ?

I just cut and pull it.  Be very careful if it's a substantial growth because bats love to live in ivy and by rights you shouldn't pull it down if bats use it as a roost - your local bat society might possibly come and have a look for free.  Just cut the stem through and it'll die right enough.

you have to track down every single stem in the ground, bearing in mind anywhere the end of a tendril touches the ground it can throw out more roots ( a technique use to propagate other plants, and is called 'French layering'), plus anywhere there is aerial roots in water that can sustain it, and you have be ruthless.
Nothing is ever as it seems. With appropriate equations I can prove this.

There no bats in it( I wish we had bats there!)
