I will be planting some new gooseberries in November and I want to grow them as cordon plants so that I won't have to be furking around underneath the bushes getting scratched to bits
Has anyone got any easy instructions on how to train and prune these.

I'm afraid I bought my standards ready trained :-[
but I would guess you would buy a young plant with a long leader and then prune off the side shoots to encourage that to elongate

I don't know what shape the plants will be when I get them .All I do know is that they will be good plants (I have dealt with the company before)
