Sour cherry recipes please?

I picked them yesterday - not a good haul as most fell off due to the drought. There are only 350g, nice and juicy but not enough for jam - so does anyone have a nice dessert recipe I could use?

Thanks - I've made clafoutis with plums before so this sounds good to try with my cherries. Will have to make half the recipe though - not enough cherries once they are pitted!

Cherry brandy (just as for sloe gin, but use brandy instead of gin)

I made a cherry crisp (crumble) today - it turned out really yummy with whipped cream.

I started off cherry vodka with mine yesterday. It was so good last year we didnt share it with anyone!

Yesterday's Telegraph had recipes for Chocolate Cherry Clafoutis, Cherry-stone brandy (or home made Kirsch), Baked Nectarines and Cherries, all of which sound worth the effort.  The one I don't fancy is Duck, watercress and cherry salad.

The home-made Kirsch seems a good idea, as the stones are usually thrown away.

If anyone fancies any of the above, I'll type them out and post them.

I suppose simmering them in a little sugar and water. Then thickening with cornflour or arrowroot. Stirring in a touch of brandy when cold and sticking the blend into the middle of a chocolate sponge cake with whipped cream is not an option you have considered?

Rather than 'sticking them in the middle of a chocolate sponge cake' we roll the mix up in pancakes, pour over quite a lake of double cream, and put under the grill to scald the cream.
