Description: The new VJA, a small part of the once much larger private site also called the Victoria Jubilee Allotments, has 79 plots (see map in this gallery) and it was opened by Birmingham City Council on 12 June 2010. Nearly all plots were taken up by midweek. I share a plot with my family and a neighbour overlooking Handsworth Park whose boathouse can be seen beyond the railings. Plots are approx 200 square yards.
