Hyacinths

My hyacinth are currently sharing their home with my green beans.   The hyacinth have finished flowering but still have their dead heads.   Can I lift & store them now ready for next year ' cos I want to replace them with my sweetpease.

If I lift them now how do I get rid of their dead heads

just dig a hole and let them die down natualy, in a corner of the garden. The goodness of the flower heads and leaves will go back into the bulb to flower next year these will shrivil up and die off.
Then just replant them in the autumn.

So even though the bulbs are in a container with the green beans I can still remove the hyacinth bulbs & replant them elsewhere & they'll still be ok???

They'll need to be hardy b****rs to survive all that & my black fingers

Hi if your going to damage your green beans leave the bulbs alone and just plant your sweet peas along side plants like having neighbroughs ha ha strange but true. You will find leaving them alone they will produce babies by the autumn. They can be left in the ground all year and will come up again.
