Question about Broad Beans

Sorry this may be a silly question but my BBs are coming up a treat.  My question is : Do I need to grow them up a fence? Or leave them in the pot as they now ?? ???

not daft at all.  I grow mine in open ground, and they get to be about 4-5ft tall.  They shouldn't need staking, but if I don't, they get blown over by wind.  I put a couple or three stakes at each end and then tie them all up!! Not sure about pot size, my daughters is in about 7-8 inch pot, but it's quite a small bean.  Hope this helps.  Lottie   ;D ;D
