Very few honeys have actually been investigated for healing properties, so there's no saying that we don't have something as good in the UK. I use my own honey, and also propolis, which is bee glue. It's essentially plant resins collected by the bees and used to fill cracks, and cover everything in the hive to a greater or lesser extent depending on the strain. It's antibiotic, antifungal and antiviral. I use it for mouth ulvers, cuts, and I've even cured abscesses a couple of times.
