bamboo plant

hi folks my allotment doing very well now

but i would like to grow a bamboo plant then i can pick canes as i need them

can anyone tell me what to buy and how long it takes before i will get any canes

Ask anybody that has got it in their garden for a root, they will be glad to get rid of it
