i have had tia's and the symptoms were the same as your dads-that in turn left me with epilepsy-snap baggy!!tho i am fitfree now for 2 years(d.v.)-mine are usually brought on by anxiety and 'stress'...the only other thing it sounds like is labrynthitis-but the confusion bit sounds more like tia.......
i am as fit as a butchers dog really tho-it has slowed me down but i recovered my memory full after a few weeks.....

Yeah Kitty labarynthitis is a real pain in the EARhole.  It  is  a shame that I couldn't keep all that weight off that I had lost whilst suffering but I wouldn't want to repeat it

So very sorry to hear your dad is not well.  I have heard that these dizzy spells can be brought on by either low or high blood pressure.  I presume the doctor has tested him for this and established it is not the cause.

There are of course some forums on the BBC but no-one would be better suited to give medical advice than a proper doctor -
I would like to wish you and your dad, and indeed your whole family well and hope you can find the source of his problem.
