Want to plant more scented and bee friendly climbers. Like the look of these Loniceras:
Gold Flame
mandarin
Graham Thomas
Serotina

Also, wanting to have a more compact one in pot near front door

Chic et Chock ( compact)
honey Baby

There's also an evergreen ground cover Little Honey

Any direct experience of thes to help me narrow down choice?

I bought a Chic et Choc two years ago, it's still about 20cm tall so very dwarf. Might not be big enough for you?
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

Thanks Deb- sounds ideal for patio. Did it bloom well for you?

Trying to make up my mind between Mandarin and Gold Flame

It did bloom, but put on so little growth....the colour and fragrance is lovely, I'm hoping it bulks up a bit more this year. I'm growing it in an old water tank with bulbs and dahlias, I thought it would suit it and it looks healthy enough, just a bit smaller than I had hoped!
