 My friend has saffron crocus  flowering in his new garden well I think they are as flowering now and all purple  /pale blue  and he has said I can use for saffron  how would I go about harvesting  them there are loads  in the borders

Tweezers to extract the stigmas and styles but leave the flower in place and then you dry them.
