I am the parent of two teenage children and I seem to spend my life warning them on the perils of being influenced by what they watch on TV and view on line. My daughter and I watched gardeners world this week and today I have been in the garden mixing up leaf mould coir and vermiculite and splitting an Astrantia plant. what are you doing she asked me - I am propagating perennials in summer just like Monty did last night. well she said - I think you are being influenced to much by what you see on gardeners world. Out of the mouths of babes. And she's quite right, anything Monty does I can do too!

i would have replied im just getting my monies worth out of the tv licence then watch her face as she thinks like us all why do we need a licence to watch tv ?
