I grow quite a few different types of eating pumpkins and most remain pretty true if you use their seed each year.   The weather has a much bigger influence on the finished product over the variety used .. at least in the NW of England.

Among others  I grow Whangaparoa Crown and Crown Prince, not much difference really but I  prefer the former which is more reliable IMHO.  Both are good eating and they store well into the following spring!
