Now I have my greenhouse sorted/ my wee haven, I'd like a nice scented Geranium in there. I know some can be used for cordials as well...but my big aim would be for a strong citrusy scent and not to sprawly in habit?

I once has a whole window ledge full of scented geraniums. The leaves smell strongly when crushed, but I didn't think they smelt of much otherwise. My favourite was a rose geranium, it smelt just like Turkish delight! You need to keep pruning them to keep them compact, they get leggy quickly otherwise. I got some of mine from Vernons geranium specialists:

If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

Sweet scented ones are nice enough, but my favourite is the one I would call 'radula' except that appears to have a rose-lemon scent.

My favourite looks like radula - possibly even more finely cut/divided leaves and smaller flowers - but it has a fantastic resiny smell that's a very close match to the smell of parched mediterranean islands at dusk in August - there is also a hint of sweet frankincence among all the chypre notes.

If someone knows the proper name for this one I'd love to know - save mee booking flights to arrive in the Greek islands at sunset.

Cheers.
With a microholding you always get too much or bugger-all. (I'm fed up calling it an allotment garden - it just encourages the tidy-police).

The simple/complex split is more & more important: Simple fertilisers Poor, complex ones Good. Simple (old) poisons predictable, others (new) the opposite.
