This is in an old bed I've just reclaimed...found ten of them...must be quite hardy as has had to compete with weeds

I am beyond delighted :) It survived the bed where stray livestock got in and trampled...then over a year of neglect and weeds. Hardy wee thing. It will get looked after now.

Thanks all :)

Ps is this an annual?

Nominally biennial - but if it hasn't done its thing last year because it was totally crowded, then maybe it is coming into its own this year.  Alternatively was there some in the past which could have possibly seeded unnoticed?

red russian defo tastes great im growing it myself this year as my kale of choice give it some nettle tea and it will burst into life
johhnyc015  may the plot be with you

Knelt on a nettle today....made me taller instantly.

Found more of this today...now have 14 wee plants. I see a lot of Kale in my future.
