Found what I thought might be an interested Kindle book only 99p called Straw Bale Gardens Bible.  Was going to get it, and then noticed it only had 24 pages.

What sort of bible only has 24 pages?

Many thanks it was more of a warning to people to make sure they know what they are buying. 

I have been using strawbales for several years now.  They did a great job of covering an area which had got a problem with aminopyralid.  The bales were on a plastic sheet, so I proved you do not need any soil what so ever to get good crops.

I think I might write a book.  Might produce a good income if you do not need more than 24 pages.

We are seriously thinking of trying this with Courgettes, Squash and other crops this year. We have access to bales and have an area where planting directly into soul would be extremely hard graft.

What crops have you folks successfully grown doors or outdoors in UK with this method? There seems to be a fir few books for sale about this now
