I have been away on holiday and missed your birthday, Lorna.  I hope you had a lovely day and are keeping well.  All my love xx

I really must apologize for not thanking you all for my birthday wishes.  I had a really quiet birthday (with a little stress thrown in!) as two of my daughters Alyson and Lorna took part in the Thames Path Challenge to walk 62miles (100 km) for their chosen charity. Lorna was walking for EACH (East Anglia's Children's Hospices) as she is manager of one of their shops and Alyson was walking for Macmillan Nurses. Unfortunately Alyson slipped on a broken path and injured her ankle at 50km and was not allowed to continue. Lorna carried on through the night in to Sunday and completed the walk. Their lovely brother drove to pick Alyson up very late Saturday evening and returned late afternoon Sunday to bring Lorna home. A distance of 450 miles over the two days. I was sending and receiving text messages all over the weekend. Never seen so many blisters! I am truly proud of them and the money they both raised. Once again many thanks for your kind wishes.

Sorry Alyson was injured and I hope she makes a quick recovery but good on Alyson and Lorna for taking on the challenge and what a supportive brother too  :happy7:

Well done to all.
