Went up the lottie yesterday and found to my surprise  all my garlic is through.....yipee.



Still have 30 x 3" pots with early garlic in the greenhouse....got to get them in asap.

The growing season has made a start....

What garlic varieties are you growing?

The first 3 rows are Elephant, the next 2 are Vallelado Wight....and  Carcassone Wight, then I have 30 x 3" pots of Early Purple in the greenhouse.

Elephants are so slow to show above ground....congratulations! My normal garlics were up in November, but I don't expect the elephants until March.....but I have not visited them since December so maybe they are there. Elephants, once up, give such an encouraging look to an allotment with their strong thick green leaves. I wish the weather would warm up....

When do you plant them? If theyre winter or spring planted id agree, but I plant mine in early autumn and they stand happily through the winter.
