Had a good day Wednesday, ordered two pairs of shoes by phone and actually spoke to a nice, friendly person. Received the shoes today and they are fine and an extra £10 off the sale price in the catalogue.  If I am allowed to say it is Moshulu, who I ordered slippers from at Xmas and will definately use them again.  I also found a firm on the internet, daisyshop.co.uk as was trying to find a lavender bag/cushion for my friend who had the stroke and is bed/chair ridden and sight is very bad.  After trotting round lovely Enfield, thought I would never find what I wanted, but spoke to a very helpful man and the items arrived this morning and I am pleased with them and they weren't very expensive.  I know I should have made one myself but wasn't in the mood for sewing.  Have just emailed the firm to say I appreciate their service.  I have even found some tissues with a lavender pattern on them, but don't know if she will appreciate them, but can but try. Went to Morrisons and they didn't have any minty lamb chops, so he gave me a medium sized bag of the seasoning free.  So all in all a successful day. I do try and support smaller firms as they give much better service.  I am so fed up with complaining, that it is nice to be able to praise good service.  :sunny: :sunny:

yes you are right, it's nice to say when things are done very well, instead of moaning about the failures!

I hate complaining and love saying thankyou. Whenever I've emailed/phoned a thankyou I always get a good response.Takes only a moment but definitely worth it  :happy7:

Back to moaning, Barclays Bank in Enfield Town are closing their counter service.  The staff will walk about and help you to use the machines.  Last time I got a balance in the bank, took too long and it swallowed my card.  Had to wait half an hour for someone to retrieve it.  I took my £5 of 5p which I save and cashier said you won't be able to change coins soon.  The queue was so long as only 2 people on, but lots of staff saying hello to customers.  No-one in the long queue wanted to use the machines, and I said I would change my bank.  Not much point really as I expect they will all go the same way.  Not sure what the shop keepers in Enfield will do with their takings but may be business counter will be open.  I know I am old and miserable but do like talking to people, good moan today.
