Chilli plant dying

I hope someone can help me save my chilli plant!

I've had 2 in the bathroom overwintering, and both have produced fruit this year.  On one of them the leaves went very yellow, they dropped off, and the plant died.  I thought it might be because it was under the open window... perhaps just wishful thinking!  :BangHead:

Anyway, I removed the plant but now my second plant has started showing signs of yellow leaves with one or two dropping off.  I've now noticed something that looks like weeny cobwebs and tiny white-ish specks - does anyone have any ideas?  How can I save my beloved plant?

Now that sounds to me like spidermite attack. The trouble is that any chemicals that you might want to use to get rid of the pest is not good to use on something that produce edible 'things'. Red spider mites like dry and warm/hot conditions, so if you can start spraying misting your plant with water it might halt the mites back. As first aid...tie plastic bag over the plant pot to stop soil falling over > fill sink/bowl with water and drop of washing up liquid and give all the top growth a bath...get the soapy water absolutely everywhere and let it dry out...wait another couple of days and do it again...and then you want to start thinking of misting.
You won't get rid of the mites but if you manage to keep the numbers in manageable level..the plant might still bounce back, make some new growth and fruit more. Finger crossed!

Thank you so much!   :sunny:   I'm off to give my chilli some first aid.  Much appreciated!

I agree with Goodlife it does sound like red mites. You also might like to think of giving your plant a feed and perhaps a spray with seaweed and Epsom salts to give it a boost and help it resist and and recover from the red mite overload.
