This year I think I am up to a fortnight in front of normal.

The plants are nearly touching the greenhouse roof so they grow upwards not sideways,plus there is the timing of the pricking out!

I wait until there is just a hint of real leaf growth then I pot them up to their seed leaves and this means the real leaves get the best of light from the outset.

I find if you wait until the real leaves appear as some pundits advise leggyness might have already started to take place.
