Hi guys and girls
if you look at this link http:/hav/www.theweatheroutlook.com/twodata/datmdlout.aspx
you can see how the weather develops, by clicking the hours ahead ,(the are other charts on the page once you have got a hang of it)  From about 240 hours out you will see how the pressure changes if you look at the iso bars they change and later on they change to a northerly direction. That indicates the cooler air is being pushed down from the north.
You can also look at the high/low temps on the chart and what rain levels are due/ if any snow. it could get a litle chilly.
i find its quite a useful site and accurate to

The year before last March was very warm and the apple tree sprung into life, but by the time it flowered if was cold again, and so the bees did not pollenate it.

The link does not work for me so went straight to the site and for me the weather days 10-16 is certainly cooler than this week but otherwise not bad.  In the range 11-14C for this week and 7-13 the week after.   Could not understand what you were saying until I found a windchill of -5.   on 22nd Jan.   Seems odd the wind is from the SW.

I normally use Foreca and Met Office and they are often different.  The lovely weather on Sunday was predicted for days on Foreca but not until that morning on Met Office.  It will be nice to have another opinion.  I find the Jet Stream Forecast very reliable as well.
