In the Greenhouse this morning.

Took my camera into the greenhouse to take a few photos for my pictorial diary.

This is what I took;

Dahlia tubers beginning to sprout;



Potatoes chitting;



Chillis & Peppers germinated;



Tomatoes & Leeks germinated;



Inside the greenhouse;

Looking good TG ecxcept the toms looking a bit lanky.. but you can pot them deeeeeep when the time comes.
Now a member of the 10 Ton club.... (over 10 ton per acre)    2013  harvested 588 Kg from 165 sq mt..      see my web blog at...  http://www.gavinconway.net

I don't think they are particularly 'lanky' Gavin in fact I like that sort of length at this stage.

As you can see the length is under the cotyledons (seed leaves) meaning when I prick them out and sink them up to the seed  leaves, roots will emanate from this section thus giving me a bigger root ball prior to planting out.

Now if they had been 'lanky' above the seed leaves well!! that's a different thing!

As I said - you can plant them deep.. I always plant mine at least 2/3 buried...
