I have used DT Browns seeds for a few years now but yesterday as I went to place my order I was redirected so cancelled and closed the web page.  As I went to log in, a message popped up saying customers had to renew their password before proceeding.  This was the first alarm bell.  The page it was redirected to, did not read DT Brown anywhere in the address bar.  It all looked official in the same format DT Brown have their web site.

Anybody had the same issue or know if this is their new thing?  My concern was being told I had to change my password so may have to phone them.

I would simply wait until u can speak to them on the phone. They may be closed to the New year as are a lot of small firms

I had an email back in the summer from Mr Fothergills saying they were updating their site and I would need to reset my password, I'm pretty sure it was the same for DT Brown's site.

just done a dummy order looks the same as the last order I placed late november, when you do change your password the email address it comes from is customer.service@dtbrownseeds.co.uk so everything should be fine. they did update their website a few months ago

It seems to be the same message on both web site log in page and Netsuite Inc in the address bar appears to be Https and is verified by Verisign?

Looks secure to me.  SSL cert is valid but valid for netsuite rather than DT Brown.  Netsuite are a huge eCommerce resource so I guess DT Brown is using them to run its enterprise, inventory etc. Personally I dont like that as I like the cert to trace directly back to the company name on the site web address but it is perfectly valid.

Forced password changes are often needed if a company changes systems so I wouldn't worry.  Of course password changes are also needed after a hack but I really dont think that is the case here.

Phoned them today.  They confirmed it is correct and as people have stated already.  They did replace all their computer systems and software a few months ago just this was my first log in since the changes.  I will log in and order.  Thankyou for your replies and giving me peace of mind.

To me there was never a problem... Its not like its your bank account so in a case like that one can always do a new log in and leave the other to die a natural death. Saves a lot of fuss and bother.
