I was cruising the 2013 SSE members catalog yesterday and started to think about you. Did you ever make your succotash. I came across veggies that were described as ideal for it, then I saw some peas that were described as looking like corn kernels and it reminded me about you and your corn.

I was looking for a low growing bean, pretty enough to  replace the annual flowers I just removed from a border round my plot, it is only 15 inches wide so needed something small. I found one called Red Swan, pink and white bi colour flowers, and red pods about 14inches high, sounds perfect.Do you know it.

Yes I did Jeannine and it's now a firm favourite here, thank you :toothy10:

Yes it's a delight, I found it productive and tasty. Flowers are lovely as are the pods which are a beautiful pale red, not purple colour. It was one I hoped to add to the seed circle but naughty doggy had other ideas!!! There's always next year for the circle, I've some seeds I can send

Oh super, I was gonna get you some succotash stuff though..blast it.

I have already contacted Peace Seeds to make sure they have them as they are still on their 2013 catalogue, and they do, I have replied that money will be  en route tomorrow to give me chance to look at what else they have (they don't have Paypal) so thank you but in this case I will say no to your lovely offer. I should have asked you first of course but there are a couple of other things I may get from them anyway.

They look pretty good and I think they will be just what I need .

I should never pick up the SSE member book, it is a doozy of a book, there is so much stuff in there, and I need seeds about as much as you do!!!!

So what are you buying this year :blob7: :blob7:

Thanks again for the offer and info.

Do you know I'm not sure! I haven't even put in an order to Tatiana yet and she is usually my first port of call. I think it's perhaps because I've several of my own projects on the go and space will be tight next year. I've spotted some squash at Bobby's I'd like, some of the 'white types' but my cart has just emptied so I'll have to do it again! Looks to be some lovely varieties in the seed circle too. I've also bought some of the ones I listed on the new for 2014 thread.
