Well a big thank you to whoever posted about an apple peeler, corer and slicer.  Ordered one from Amazon, cheaper than Lakeland.

Rushed out and picked an apple and it is BRILLIANT.  No more sore finger when I make an apple pie.  You just stab the apple on the prongs, and turn the handle it is done.  Mega.

Any particular brand Digeroo? I looked at them once and wondered if any use .Now you have got me thinking about it again

I tried to go into my email account to find which one it was but someone has hacked into it so I have been locked out.  It not longer accepts my grandfathers profession and it lists a Hotmail account as the secondary account, but I only have the one, the others are on totally different servers.  Found it at least I am not locked out of Amazon.

Got this one

I think there might be a problem with lumpy apples such as bramley but it did my discovery really well.  No adjusting just stab and go.   The handle is orange.

Having moved allotments I am only just getting fruit on the new trees so it would be a waste of money just for peeling about 10 apples. It will be a nice toy for when I am overloaded with fruit.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Our tree was planted by the builders about 27 years ago.   It has never been pruned though I do hack bits off sometimes.  Every year it is covered with blossom and every year except last year it is covered with fruit.   Being a Discovery they do not keep.  We froze some last year but they are still in the freezer.    We give away a few but not many people like them.  So I eat a few and my OH eats quite a lot and the birds and the wasps eat the rest.
