Being a good year for the peppers in teh GH, picked about a builders bucket of assorted green fruit today... I prefer them green for cooking in the winter adn this lot are mostly destinied for the freezer... especially succesfull have been the Gypsy's and Redskins with honourable mentions for Mohawk and Frigitello, though it does seem to be a good ytear for them anyway, the chillis are doing OK too, Cayennes and Jalapenos both bearing well...

Mine are a mystery - the growth of the plant has been really good, compared to previous year. But the first few fruit were rotten, like blossom end rot on a tomato. And they now have flowers but I am finding them really slow to fruit. Mine are outdoors; Maybe I am just impatient :-)
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com
