Do you covet thy neighbours compost heap?

Do others drool as they pass a well-made compost heap or think 'cor! get a load of that!' as they pass a really large pile of manure sitting at the side of a field ready for distribution? My other half has got used to such comments now...probably.

We bought a chunk of land when the neighbouring house and garden was sold off. He'd got a huge rotted down pile of horse manure which I'd been envying for years, we spread it on my veg patch, it was wonderful. Mind you, I also used the stuff from his ordinary compost heap, and I think that's where I got onion white rot from....swings and roundabouts, eh!
