what to sow now?

My garden's been a bit of a disaster this year, what with the weird weather, being busy with children, and a certain amount of can't-be-bothered-ness on my part. But I'm feeling all motivated and feeling a bit sorry for my neglected garden. And my eldest wants to do gardening in the summer holiday.

So what can I sow now? Is there time for runner and french beans? how about courgettes? Are there any salad leaves/lettuce I can sow now?

I just sowed more French and runner beans. It might be getting a little late for courgettes??  Beet leaf spinach! very fast growing.
Lettuce, sure, rocket, autumn carrots? And I will soon be doing the lamb's lettuce and the pak choys and other orientals.
Also time to plant out leek plants, if you haven't sown your own.
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

After a great lack of time, a cold start and now "the bake & boil" my allotment hasn't been good. My fault.

I intend to sow some carrots - a last ditch attempt as it really is getting late and it's so hot.

After that I'll try to find time to look through the seed packets as well as previous allotment diaries to see what I have done in previous years.

It's never too late to give it a go... well almost "never".  :clock:
