In the Times today, they mention that a foliar spray of urea is a possible treatment for Ash tree disease. They also mention that urea had proved to be an effective fungicide for apple scab.

Have to pay to read the times now, so can't read the whole article, but I am guessing that urea needs other chemical processes to go through before it becomes a fungicide.

So I am sticking to my normal excuse of 'Sorry officer, but I thought that tree/bush/doorway looked sick and was in need of a nitrogen feed'

I bet the times have not had any other stories about all the other fungicides that have been tested.

I would expect that being acid that urine would be a good fungicide.  Vinegar is good too.  If you are prone to athletes foot, then putting a bit of vinegar in the rinsing water works wonders.
