Hello again!!! need help identifying neighbours plant thing!!!!

It seems to grow in their wall, prickly woody thing with tiny little purple leaves, unfortunately  it does not grow over there side of the garden, but seems to like it over my side and takes up 3/4 foot of the light in my garden every year!!! hacked some of it down today, but need to know what it is because i want to spray it with weedkiller!!! the more you trim it the more it grows!!! could of swore earlier and the neighbours have decided to grow Mile a minute in it also.................you can predict the foul language that came out of my mouth!!!! Any help or advice would be most grateful xxx

could you not post a picture of it so we can see what it is, this may help us identify it.
