Autumn Raspberries - Propagation

Does it matter when I dig out the runners from the plants I started off last year and move them to a new site?

Can I do this now or do I have to wait until the plants are dormant in November through to February/March?

they take a bit of time to recover if you do that now, whereas if you wait til they're dormant it'll be much better for them. i'm waiting too for mine as they're rather in a jungle-y mess atm, and looks a bit of a sight.
