Honest I am not sulking, I really like my latest fashion statement.

The silly girl has been licking herself so much that the sore place will not heal, so now she has to be prevented from reaching the spot.
Not a happy p ussy and the other cats hate her even more with it on!

Poor thing - I have sympathy. One of my cats had to have a collar a few years back. She wore her permanent 'we are not amused' expression the whole time and was in a deep sulk. Her sister just ignored it (and her).

Reminds me of when my cat had one of these - he became totally disorientated and kept walking into walls, doors etc. We didn't know whether to laugh or cry and felt so sorry for him that we used to give him little breaks from wearing it to allow him time to eat and wash but this had to be while one of us were with him to make sure he didn't start to lick the bit the collar was keeping him from!

Poor funnel face puss!

Ours were most upset when they had to wear them having had their bits done. I felt sorry for them and took the funnels off for about 10 seconds - Tamari ripped out the stitches and had to go back to the vet!

Sadly Twiggy is still wearing the collar. The cut on her side (which she made worse by licking) has stubbornly refused to heal despite all the attention it has received (no suggestions please we have tried all the ones we have been given). Her rear end has healed nicely. She has got quite used to it and uses it to terrorise the other two cats. Mind she is wild and full of energy. Yesterday we took her for a walk round the garden just to tire her out a bit. Today it is raining so she will just have to do without. Ah well, more threads pulled in the fireside rug!
