Further to my other thread about mulching it occurs to me to ask what is the best use for home made compost, what do you do with yours ?

A full dalek bin at this time of year yields about a third of the volume come next spring about a small dustbin full, so precious, so dark rich and sweet smelling. I wouldn't want to waste it using it wrongly through ignorance  :)

Thanks all for that seems I'm using it as most of yous do, mixed with multi purpose for tomatoes or any veg grown in a pot and I also put some in a trench under my beans, actually my beans have been good this year for a change.

If only one could make a big enough volume to dig into the whole veg plot.

I supplement mine, with recycled compost, straw, leaves, grass clippings, comfrey, chicken pellets  and green manure.  Perhaps some manure but still very wary of aminopyralid.  I still do not use my own compost for beans and potato family.
